Tansen Hos­pi­tal — Their medical elec­tive pro­gramme offers a 6‑week minimum place­ment. The United Mission Hos­pi­tal Tansen (UMHT) is located in Tansen, the dis­trict head­quar­ters and com­mer­cial centre of Palpa Dis­trict. Tansen is a pleas­ant town built on the side of Shri­na­gar hill and lies in the middle hills of Nepal. The medical work of the hos­pi­tal com­prises various para­med­ical depart­ments, lab­o­ra­tory, phys­io­ther­apy, occu­pa­tional therapy, dental, anaes­the­sia, out­pa­tient depart­ment and phar­macy. There are the fol­low­ing wards—surgical ward, mater­nity ward, burns unit, ortho­pe­dic ward, pae­di­atric ward, and three main oper­at­ing wards
